What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a holistic healing science; it is as old the Vedic ancient civilization and means „the knowledge about life“. This medical science has its roots in the most ancient healing tradition of mankind and was developed and transmitted by the Indian doctors - “Rishis”- almost 4000 years ago. Ayurveda is practised all over the world and has been recognised by the WHO. Some Austrian insurance agencies reimburse your expenses for ayurvedic treatment. Ayurveda deals with all aspects of life beginning from birth leading up to death. It is a medical science that searches into all that is human, regarding health as well as ill health. The three energies in our body: Vata, Pitta und Kapha are very decisive factors of our constitutional harmony. As soon as the balance of these factors is disturbed, you will experience restlessness and illnesses can easily overwhelm you. Ayurveda helps the healthy to safeguard their health und the sick to recover it again.

Ayurvedic massage
Ayurvedic methods of therapy with oil and massage build a secret art of healing. Your body will be supported by oil treatment, sweating sessions and massage in its process of purification and regeneration. The primal balance of elements can be thus regained and as a result you are free of many complaints. The massage therapy is also the preparation for the Panchakarma-treatment (cleaning process) in Ayurveda.

Ayurvedic abstinence for health
Ayurvedic abstinence for health is the oldest and the most natural method of all healing processes. According to Ayurveda it is important that persons from the age of 30 keep regular periods of abstinence. The reduction of weight is not the main aim at all, much more, getting the body freed from all toxins. Abstinence leads to an interior self-cleaning of all organs. The body will be purified of all metabolic toxins through the oil massage and through the treatment of the Panchakarma under the supervision of a doctor. A further advantage of the abstinence is that the feeling of hunger gets reduced to a great extend. It is easy to practise abstinence in a group. That is why we stress the importance of walks in groups, common practice of Yoga and meditation during the period of abstinence. Ayurvedic abstinence for health has proved to be of a special healing value for persons suffering from asthma, skin diseases, rheumatism, overweight and migraine. It is possible, with the help of abstinence, to make a new beginning in life, thus achieving a better feeling for the body, soul and spirit.

Ayurvedic Nutrition
Its balance characterizes the ayurvedic nutrition programme. All the six flavours (sweet, sour, salty, hot, bitter and herb) are an integral part of it. The five elements (space, air, fire, water and earth) serve to define the orientation. The principle of Ayurveda nutrition is to nurture the body, soul and spirit in an equal measure.

Laser Treatment – Operation of the varicose veins
The treatment of varicose veins using the most modern laser technology is a time and trouble saving method. This is an alternative to the traditional surgical treatment of varicose veins. It can be administered on outpatients in local anaesthesia.

Advantages of laser treatment:
  • no need for general anaesthesia,
  • no need for inguinal incision
    The surgical laser intervention is of very short duration;
  • the pain is reduced to a minimum
  • Laser treatment brings excellent medical and cosmetic results and less recurrences,
  • duration of sick leave is very short,
  • there is no need of hospitalisation at all
  • Laser operations can be done also in the summer months
  • no need to wear stockings more than three weeks after laser treatment.

Panchakarma – „Ayurvedic purification process“
anchakarma is the quintessence of all ayurvedic treatments and is known as the „Royal Therapy“. The Rishis developed Panchakarma in India almost 4000 years ago. Those days it was a privilege to get the Panchakarma treatment, a privilege only of the royal families. It is based purely on natural means and methods, without any chemicals. As a result there are no side effects.

Panchakarma comprises:
  • Elaborate medical check-up before, during and after the session.
  • Massage units applying herbaloil
  • Sweating sessions
Intensive steps of therapy aimed at the purification of the physical system
  • Physical and mental relaxation
  • Ayurvedic nutrition specially cut out for you

Alone the comforting and harmonising massage and pouring special herbal oils specially selected for the body simultaneously, and the herbage-steam bath are sufficient to lead to regeneration and healing. The body will be freed of metabolic toxins through the help of extra purification therapy sessions (Vamana, Virecana, Basti Nasya und Blood letting). Panchakarma promotes also the regeration of cells and slows down the ageing process. Panchakarma treatments will be done only under the supervision of an Ayurveda doctor.
The effectiveness of Panchakarma:
  • As a holistic method of treatment Panchakarma effects regeneration and rejuvenation of the body, and promotes vitality.
  • Panchakarma has positive effects on the intellectual activity, emotional stability and the memory power. As a result of all these the biological ageing process is slowed down.

Yoga und Meditation – The path to inner tranquillity and serenity
Yoga is a science that deals with life. It aims at keeping the whole body flexible, improving the breathing system and enhancing the power of concentration. Yoga lays stress especially on the spiritual aspects and on the utilizable resources in the personal development. In the Ayurveda -centred Yoga the physical exercises are chosen in such a way that they are in harmony with the constitutional situation. The practice of Yoga is not limited to any particular age. Ayurveda and Yoga build a harmonious unity and are practised hand in hand.
